We are Pauline and Charo Blaauw, originally from the Netherlands and proud parents of two wonderful boys. Together with our dog Willowdean, we enjoy life, new adventures, and everything that inspires us.

Pauline and Charo Blaauw originally come from the Netherlands and share not only a great love for each other, but also a deep passion for hospitality, nature, and life in the mountains. Together with their two sons, they fell in love with beautiful Austria — a place where peace, space, and nature come together. Their children feel completely at home here and enjoy the freedom, mountains, and outdoor life every single day.

When Pauline and Charo discovered a charming hotel in the middle of the Austrian mountains, it immediately felt right. The breathtaking views, the peaceful surroundings, and the warm atmosphere made a lasting impression. For them, it was much more than just a place — it felt like a dream that could become reality.

Both Pauline and Charo have built many years of experience in hospitality. Pauline has worked in the industry since a young age and has always loved taking care of guests. From small restaurants to large hotels, personal contact and making guests feel welcome have always been central to her work. After becoming a mother, she found her passion especially in breakfast service. Giving guests a wonderful start to their day, taking care of them, and seeing happy faces still gives her great joy every day.

Charo also discovered his passion for hospitality at a young age. From the moment he started working, he knew that cooking and hospitality would become his future. He completed his culinary education and gradually worked his way up in the industry. From simple restaurants to a Michelin-starred restaurant, and from cozy family hotels to large hotel chains — everywhere he gained valuable experience and developed his own style.

Since 2006, Charo has worked as a chef. Creativity, flavor, and making guests happy have always been his biggest motivations. For him, hospitality is not only about good food, but above all about experience, attention, and personal service.

The dream of running their own hotel had lived within them for many years. But not just anywhere — it had to be a place where nature, freedom, and hospitality come together. Austria felt special from the very beginning. The mountains, the tranquility, and the lifestyle made Pauline and Charo fall in love with the country.

Their hotel is meant to be a place where guests truly feel welcome. Not a large and impersonal hotel where people are simply room numbers, but a warm and homely place with personal attention and genuine hospitality. A place where there is always time for a friendly conversation, where guests can relax and enjoy everything the surroundings have to offer.
